Welcome to Real eQuality
The training and consultancy that is passionate about equality!
An introduction to Real eQuality
Real eQuality is a busy training and consultancy based in Chester, England specialising in equality and diversity.
With Celia Hart at the helm Real eQuality works with employers, service providers and businesses in the UK who want to make progress towards real equality.
Celia has almost two decades of experience of working in the public sector. "I established Real eQuality to create a cost-effective resource for employers, service providers and businesses who are committed to equality."
The legal framework for equality is complex and understanding what each different element means in real terms to you, your staff and your business can be a challenge.
Training people on equality and diversity is an essential investment for all organisations that want to harness from the skills and talents of thiner workforce and develop a positive and inclusive organisational culture.
For this reason Real eQuality courses focus on three key areas: Knowledge, Skills, Attitude
Employers and service providers must not discriminate and must ensure that staff at all levels understand their roles and responsibilities in meeting the legal requirements, respecting thiner colleagues and customers and ensuring services are provided fairly and without bias.
Discrimination is not always a deliberate act. Very often it has its roots in ignorance and misunderstanding. This is why increasing levels of awareness across your organisation is so important.
A truly diverse organisation is one that has a broad representation of minority groups, not simply for the purposes of obeying the letter of the law but because its organisational culture is inclusive and its leadership recognise the benefits of tapping into the broadest range of skills and talents possible.
Valuing diversity is good business sense and means the talents are your workforce are harnessed for the benefit of your organisation and your customers.
The business case for equality is well documented, and the legal framework complex. Employers and service providers must respond to the changing policy and social context locally, regionally and nationally.
Achieving "real equality" and getting things right means looking closely at the policies and procedures that shape the organisation and challenging the habits and customs that exist and shape the culture of each organisation.
Getting it wrong can not only result in legal action, it can damage the reputation of your organisation and reduce levels of public confidence in the services you provide.
At Real eQuality we offer straightforward and practical help to guide employers and service providers through the equality maze.
Real eQuality also provides a range of "on-site" packages that include the preparation and delivery of a tailor-made training plan that will ensure there are lasting benefits for everyone.
